Dr. Ranjithan, a native of Cumberland, Maryland, earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. He then moved on to New York City to pursue a medical degree at Cornell University Medical College. Following completion of his medical studies, he spent a year at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, finishing his internship in Internal Medicine. Dr. Ranjithan then returned to New York, where he trained at Montefiore Medical Center as a diagnostic radiology resident.

Looking to hone his skills in minimally invasive procedures, he finally came to San Francisco to work at UCSF as a Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellow. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and has been awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

Apart from work, Dr. Ranjithan enjoys taking advantage of the Bay Area’s unique outdoor opportunities such as golfing one weekend to skiing the next.
